The Political Studies Association Postgraduate Northern Conference for 2008 will be hosted by PG students at the University of Edinburgh on Friday the 6th of June. The conference is a chance to road test your skills and ideas in a friendly and supportive environment, and to benefit from the vibrant postgraduate research community in Scotland and the North! Papers in all topics of Political Theory, Politics and International Relations are sought. This year we particularly welcome research on the subjects of gender, nationalism or the EU and papers on any topic using critical methodologies.
The conference will be hosted by the University of Edinburgh on the 10-11 January 2008 at Old College, South Bridge, Edinburgh.
Fiona Mackay and her FIIN co-director Mona Lena Krook (Washington University St Louis) have been successful in bidding for a workshop as part of the ECPR Joint Sessions in Rennes, France from 11-15 April 2008. The workshop is entitled 'Gender, Politics, and Institutions: Towards a Feminist Institutionalism?'.
