Elizabeth Bomberg & John Peterson
Brussels book launch for EU text by Edinburgh Politics/IR staff.
A book launch was held on 12 February 2008 at Scotland Europa in Brussels to mark the publication of the 2nd edition of 'The European Union: How Does it Work?'. This text is designed to be the first book used to introduce students (and others) to the EU. It is co-edited by Elizabeth Bomberg and John Peterson of Edinburgh Politics/IR together with Alexander Stubb, then a Member of the European Parliament but subsequently appointed as Finland's Foreign Minister.
Attendees at the event were welcomed by Jonathan Faull, Director-General of the European Commission's Justice, Freedom and Security Department and former Commission spokesperson.
'The EU: How Does it Work' appears in the 'New European Union' series published by Oxford University Press, for which John Peterson and Helen Wallace (London School of Economics) are series editors. Further information here.
