In the recent general election, the gap between parties' share of the vote and their representation in Westminster has left many questioning the current electoral system. Some suggest the UK should adopt the system of Proportional Representation, whereby the distribution of seats in Parliament would match the vote share, while others defend the current system.

Come and hear perspectives from the government, private sector, academia, and civil society, as our expert panel debates the motion "This House would use the system of Proportional Representation for all UK general elections".

--Marco Biagi, Member of Scottish Parliament for the SNP
--William Sullivan, Director of the Electoral Reform Society Scotland
