Is there WiFi at the venue?
Yes, but you will need an eduroam account to access it. Eduroam is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.
I'm arriving a day early - is there anywhere I can sit and work?
I am not attending all days, can I get a discount on the registration fee?
No, the fee is the same even if you are unable to attend all days. Please notify us if you are unable to attend all days.
I have a dietary requirement, do I need to tell you in advance?
Yes please! Please tell us on your registration form. If you have already submitted this and need to add informaiton, please use the contact form to contact us.
I have access requirements, do I need to tell you in advance?
Yes please! Although the venue is accessible, we would still need to know of any access requirements you may have. Please tell us on the registration form.
I want to bring my car - is there anywhere I can park near the conference venue?
There is limited on-street parking available, and it is metered. Additionally there are longer stay, multi-story car parks around Edinburgh, but these can be expensive.
Can I bring my partner to the conference?
All those attending the conference must be registered and pay the registration fee. This includes any accompanying adults.
Can I bring a 'plus one' to the conference dinner?
Given limitations of space and the need to prioritize those registered for the conference, we cannot at this stage promise that we can accommodate a 'plus one' to the conference dinner. Participants seeking to bring a partner to the dinner should contact the conference organizer, Professor Nicola McEwen, in advance of the conference.
Can I bring my children?
No, it is not advisable or practical to bring children to the conference venue.
When is the programme available?
The programme will be posted online soon.
When will I know about my travel funding request?
IPSA Research Committees will be in touch with applicants with decisions on funding requests before the end of June 2015.
Do you offer a student bursary?
The University of Edinburgh does not offer a bursary but we have lower registration fees for students. Participants seeking further assistance are advised to contact their relevant research committee.
