Dr Elizabeth Cripps has been awarded a three-year British Academy Postdoctoral Award for her research project, Collective Action, Collective Responsibility and a New Environmental Ethics. [29 May 2009]
11 different members of Politics/IR staff recently were nominated for outstanding teaching awards by their students. Politics/IR was also nominated for the 'best subject area' award. The awards were offered for the first time in 2009 by EUSA, the University's student union.

On 1 May Elizabeth Bomberg (Politics and IR) hosted a workshop on ' Climate Change and Inter-Governmental Relations in Transatlantic Perspective' in the Raeburn Room, Old College.
