PhD Candidate Wins Prestigious Teaching Prize
BISA-HEA Award for Excellence in Teaching International Studies
Victoria Loughlan, a PhD candidate in Politics and International Relations, is the first winner of the prestigious UK-wide BISA-HEA Award for Excellence in Teaching International Studies by a Postgraduate Student. She received her award at a ceremony during the annual conference of the British International Studies Association. In making the award, the committee noted Victoria's impact on teaching in the subject area. This is the result of her major contributions to teaching initiatives in curriculum development, innovative interactive teaching, learning skills and meeting the needs of a diverse student population.
