Seminar at Fritt Ort Foundation

The Centre for Cultural Relations presents a seminar at Oslo's Fritt Ord Foundation on Wednesday, 3 December 2014 which will examine the state of current research into the relationship between social media and political change.

The seminar also introduces original research into how analysis of social media can be used to help assess the flow of international influence in relation to major events, including the crises in Syria and the Ukraine.

Fritt Ord’s aim is to protect and promote freedom of expression and the environment for freedom of expression in Norway, particularly by encouraging lively debate and the fearless use of the free word.

Short talks from each speaker will be followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion. All are welcome to attend and take part in discussion. Doors open at 16.45pm, and there will be an informal reception and networking meeting after the presentations.
