Politics and International Relations (PIR): News

Edinburgh Politics/IR part of international research team surveying the EU Commission

An international team of researchers including Edinburgh’s John Peterson and Andrew Thompson will conduct a comprehensive attitudinal survey of the European Commission.

The aim of this ‘once in a generation’ exercise is to gain insight into the life and workings of such a distinctive organisation. The data will form the basis of an original analysis of the Commission, significantly extending our scientific understanding of this unique institution.

The project is being conducted within the EU Consent Network of Excellence, funded through the EU’s Framework IV Programme and generously supported by a grant from the ESRC.
