Politics/IR staff host Climate Change Workshop

On 1 May Elizabeth Bomberg (Politics and IR) hosted a workshop on ' Climate Change and Inter-Governmental Relations in Transatlantic Perspective'  in the Raeburn Room, Old College.

The workshop was part of the Europa Institute-funded 'EU, Climate Change and Global Environmental Governance'  seminar series and was supported further by the University of Edinburgh's Politics and IR subject area and the University Association of Contemporary European Studies.

It brought together academics and post-graduates from across the university (Geosciences, Law, Politics/IR) with special guest Prof M Schreuers (Free University Berlin) and practitioners from the NGO sector and Scottish government. The blend of academic and practitioner insight resulted in fruitful, intriguing and often quite spirited discussion of intergovernmental dynamics of climate change.
