Edinburgh Politics & IR Doctoral Student Wins Top Thesis Prize

UK PSA Prize Awarded to Dr Meryl Kenny

Congratulations to Dr Meryl Kenny who has been awarded a prestigious PhD prize by the UK Political Studies Association for her doctoral thesis entitled Gendering Institutions: The Political Recruitment of Women in Post-Devolution Scotland.

The Arthur McDougall Fund Prize is awarded annually for the best dissertation on elections, electoral systems or representation. Meryl, who is currently an ESRC Post-doctoral Fellow in the department, will be presented with her prize at the PSA 60th Annual Conference in April, which is being hosted by the University of Edinburgh.
