Mercury Project Hits Top Gear

'Conceptualising Multilateralism'

The EU-funded MERCURY project, a 3-year, €2 million investigation of Europe and multilateralism, has yielded its first publication:  'Conceptualising Multilateralism' by Caroline Bouchard and John Peterson as a MERCURY Working Paper.

Available at http://www.mercury-fp7.net/, the paper tackles the analytical task of truly conceptualising multilateralism - as opposed merely to use it as a descriptive term - so that it finally can stand alongside other concepts in the study of international relations such as anarchy, sovereignty or interdependence.
