Clinton Global Initiative University- applications open!

PIR's Elizabeth Bomberg will serve as staff mentor for Edinburgh's Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) applications

CGI is a growing network of young leaders who are developing innovative solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges. CGI U  2014 will take place March 21-23 2014 at Arizona State University.  The University of Edinburgh joined the Clinton Global Initiative University this academic year.
To be considered for admission, all applicants are required to make a 'Commitment to Action'  -- a  concrete plan that addresses a pressing challenge in one of CGI U's five focus areas: Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, or Public Health.
Individuals and groups can apply to attend and some funding is available.
The deadline for applications is in January 2014, but the deadline for travel assistance is 22 November 2013.

A proposal-crafting workshop will be held on at 09-10:00am on Monday 18 November in Seminar room 2, Crystal McMillan Building, 15a George Square.
