Bomberg receives Outstanding Teaching Award from University Chancellor
The Award for Teaching was given to Dr Elizabeth Bomberg from the School of Social & Political Science.
Politics and IR’s Dr Elizabeth Bomberg has won the University’s Chancellor’s Award for her outstanding contribution to teaching. Presented by the Chancellor HRH Princess Royal at a ceremony in the Holyrood palace, the award highlighted Bomberg’s passion for teaching and her involvement in initiatives to inspire student leaders, nurture policy-based learning and widen access to university study. In her acceptance speech Bomberg prompted the audience to consider ‘what makes an inspirational teacher’? Her own answer drew on the experiences of students in the department of Politics and International Relations and the wider University.
