View desktop pageMany successes for PIR Post-Graduate Researchers in 2014-15
With over 70 students, our PhD community was very active in delivering our undergraduate teaching and in presenting, participating at professional conferences and workshops, and publishing their research.
The 2014-2015 academic year was a fantastic one for our post-graduate researchers. Kathy Dodworth, for example, published in Critical African Studies and Cera Murtagh in Nations and Nationalism. Two new ESRC-funded students -- Alexandra Remond and Tom Charman -- began their doctoral studies with us this year.
Our big news in 2014-15: 15 PhDs successfully completed their theses and their degrees. Well done to all of them and to their supervisors. Our PhD students are securing professional appointments. Recent appointments to research and teaching positions include ones at the University of Bath, the University of Cagliari, the University of Edinburgh, the German Institute of Global and Area Studies, and the Maastricht University.
