Professor Charlie Jeffery awarded CBE
Professor Jeffery has been honoured in the Queen's Birthday Honours for his contribution to the Social Sciences
Politics and IR is delighted with the announcement of this well deserved award. As Chair of Politics, Professor Jeffery regularly contributed popular first year lectures on Germany for undergraduates, as well as teaching on other modules, and Masters courses. His recent research has focussed on the UK 's constitutional reforms, in light of the Independence referendum. His stewardship of the Political Studies Association, and role as Chair of the ESRC's Research Committee, further highlight the diversity of his contributions to our subject area and discipline.
Charlie Jeffery was appointed Senior Vice-Principal of the University in 2014. He previously served as Vice-Principal for Public Policy, as Director of the Academy of Government, and as Head of the School of Social and Political Science.
