Working Title

Interstitional Sovereignty: Commonwealths and Post-Colonial State-Formation

Research Interests

I am interested in decolonisation regimes and the way that self-determination claims have been articulated in relation to ideas of sovereignty and statehood. My research focuses on whether it is possible to define a specific Commonwealth decolonisation regime after 1945 and whether distinct epistemologies of internal and external sovereignty can be identified in post-colonial West Africa.
